ABOUT MARCO ZANETTI
Marco Zanetti is Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry of the University of Torino, Italy. In 1998 he obtained his degree in Industrial Chemistry (summa cum laude) at the University of Torino investigating the mechanism of thermal degradation of cyclodestrins. He got his Ph.D. in Chemical Science in 2001 in the same University studying the thermal degradation and combustion properties of polymer nanocomposites. He spent research period working with Dr. Takashi Kashiwagi and Dr. Jeffrey Gilmann at the National Institute of Standard and Technologies (USA) and with Prof. Rolf Mülhaupt at Freiburger Materialforschungszentrum und Institut für Makromolekulare Chemie of the University of Freiburg. In 2007 he has been project director of a research project financed by Piemonte Region and European Community devoted to the development of innovative nanocomposites materials for the repair of abdominal wall defect and their manufacturing method. Actually the research activity of Dr. Marco Zanetti is dedicated in the study of polymer nanocomposites, organic/inorganic hybrids, production of polymeric nanoparticles/nanofibers with electrospinning and biomedical application of polymers.
