ABOUT MARCO SALUCCI

I received my M.S. degree in Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Trento, Italy, in 2011, and my Ph.D. degree from the International Doctoral School in Information and Communication Technology of Trento in 2014. I have been a Post Doc Researcher at CentraleSupélec in Paris, France, and at the Commissariat à l\'Énergie Atomique et aux Énergies Alternatives (CEA) in France. Currently, I am an Assistant Professor at the Department of Civil, Environmental, and Mechanical Engineering (DICAM) at the University of Trento, and a Research Fellow of the ELEDIA Research Center. I am an Senior Member and a Member of the Antennas and Propagation Society,and I was a Member of the COST Action TU1208 \"Civil Engineering Applications of Ground Penetrating Radar.\" I serve as the Associate Editor for Communications and Memberships of the Transactions on Antennas and Propagation. Additionally, I am an Associate Editor of the Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, the Open Journal of Antennas and Propagation, and the International Journal of Microwave and Wireless Technologies. In 2023, I co-edited the book \"Applications of Deep Learning in Electromagnetics - Teaching Maxwell\'s Equations to Machines,\" published by the IET. My research activities primarily focus on inverse scattering, biomedical and GPR microwave imaging techniques, antenna synthesis, and computational electromagnetics, with a particular emphasis on System-by-Design methodologies that integrate optimization techniques and artificial intelligence for real-world applications.
