ABOUT MARCO LEPIDI
CAREERMarco received a five-year Degree in Civil Engineering cum laude at the University of L\'Aquila (Italy, 2002), a PhD in Structural Engineering at the University of Rome \'\'La Sapienza\'\'(Italy, 2006). From 2018 Marco is Associate Professor for the SDS ICAR/08 at the University of Genoa (Italy), where he presently joins the DICCA - Department of Civil, Chemical and Environmental Engineering.RESEARCH. Marco is involved in research activities since 2002. His main research interests focus on theoretical and applied topics in the field of Structural Mechanics, including linear and nonlinear dynamics of flexible structures, wave dynamics of mechanical metamaterials, eigensolution sensitivity of resonant systems, parametric identification of dynamic systems, passive, active and semi-active control of vibrations, structural health monitoring, seismic engineering. He authored more than 180 scientific publications. Marco has been Assistant Editor of the scientific journal Meccanica (Springer), and is currently member of the Editorial Board of several scientific journals (Coupled Systems Mechanics, 4Open, Shock and Vibration, Plos One, Advances in Bridge Engineering, Journal of Vibration and Control). He is affiliated with research centres and institutes operating in the fields of structural mechanics (CERFIS - University of L\'Aquila) and physics (INFN - National Institute for Nuclear Physics), information and communication technology (DEWS - University of L\'Aquila). He is member of scientific associations and societies (EACS, EuroMech, AIMeTA, GADeS, SISCO). Marco was Research Fellow (University of Bristol, England 2003), and Visiting PhD (EMPA Swiss Federal Laboratories, Zurich, Switzerland 2005). Marco participated in several research projects in the field of structural mechanics, including MUR-PNRR, MIUR-PRIN and DPC-ReLUIS projects. Marco was Post-doctoral Researcher at the University of L\'Aquila, where he held three Research Grants (DISAT 2005-07 and 2007-10, CERFIS, 2012).TEACHING. From 2012 Marco is continuously involved in regular teaching activities at the Polytechnic School of the University of Genova, as lecturer of courses on Structural Mechanics, Continuum mechanics and Structural morphology for the degree programs in Naval Architecture, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Architectural Composition.
