About Marco Gutierrez
As Director of U.S. Project Development at Tecnicas Reunidas - Track - our flagship program dedicated to advancing the energy industry - I assemble and incubate a portfolio of energy projects from green H2 and derivatives to carbon capture to circular economy. Our interdisciplinary team has the rewarding task of building projects from ground zero, starting with concepts sketched on graphing paper. We convene suppliers and off-takers, curate financial solutions, design technoeconomic models, and help owners navigating the constantly shifting regulatory terrain, all in the service of moving promising projects from ideas on paper to steel in the ground. Since joining the Houston energy industry two decades ago, I\'ve had the privilege of leading an array of signature energy and CCS projects as an engineer, and manager, including Golden Pass Expansion, Targa Grand Prix Pipeline in West Texas, Haradh and Hawiyah field development for Saudi Aramco, the Gulf Trace pipeline, and the Bayou Bend CCS. As this critical juncture for our industry and for the Gulf Coast, my team and I are enthused to lay the groundwork to keep Texas and the US at the forefront of the global market through creativity and collaboration.

Building, guiding, and managing a team of developers, real state, regulation and engineering experts in the newly created division in North America. There are two main roles: the engineering/execution team, who is responsible for executing on early, mid and late-stage hydrogen and hydrogen derivatives projects, and the development team who is responsible for growing the early stage pipeline, supporting land acquisition and financial viability of projects to reach financial closing.
