ABOUT MARCO BALSAMO

After a Master’s degree in Materials Engineering in 2012 at Polytechnic University of Turin, I started my working activity thanks to 2 stages in 2 of the most important Italian industries, Luxottica and FCA. In 2014, I started my adventure in ITT – Motion Technologies, Multinational Corporation and leader in the brake pads market, as APQP Quality Engineer. For almost 2 years, I worked as interface towards international automotive customers as Ford, ZF-TRW, CBI (ex-Bosch) and Akebono, following the development and testing of the different components from the PPAP to the mass production. This job allowed me to discuss internally with almost all the other departments and externally with foreign companies trying to constantly balance the different requests. During that two-year period, I also attended a specialization course in Product & Process Management at Turin University. In 2016, thanks to the experience gained in Quality, I became Quality Assurance manager at TLI (Mario Levi Group), a small but very dynamic company in leather covers for automotive market. In this activity, for the first time, I had the opportunity to lead a team of three people. Finally, in 2017, ITT Italy contacted me again for my current job opportunity as Project Manager for APAC area, following all the projects for Nissan, Honda and Mitsubishi platforms. During this period, I am having the chance to interface with the very different and expanding Asian market and I also obtained the IPMA Level D certificate.
