Responsible for corporate, litigation, regulatory, and transactional legal matters for the company’s operations in Latin America. Key contributions include:• Participate in the development of corporate strategy and lead critical corporate initiatives and complex legal and commercial negotiations in the region.• Act as lead counsel in significant international arbitration processes.• Lead legal and compliance functions in the region, including direct management of 8 in-house lawyers located in the U.S, Mexico, Peru, Chile, and Colombia.• Manage legal and regulatory process for electric transmission investment opportunities in the region, including structuring Public-Private (P3) partnerships, teaming, and joint venture agreements with key infrastructure players in Chile, Colombia, Peru and Mexico.• Review and lead all legal work related to M&A transactions and investments in the region.• Manage and supervise training in LatAm for diverse U.S. and international compliance matters, including Corporate Code of Conduct and FCPA compliance.
