About Marc Johlic

Accessibility and Assistive Technology expert with a demonstrated history of success in leading IBM\'s efforts in creating products that are inclusive to all users, and enabling talented teams of engineers that create and execute our Accessibility strategy across the enterprise. I also partner with clients, business leaders, and decision makers to recognize and capture the benefits of accessibility in the workplace and in the market. As a member of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Accessibility Guidelines Working Group (AGWG - formerly WCAG) and the Mobile Accessibility Task Force, I collaborate with other accessibility professionals around the world in developing and maintaining the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) standard. I’m an experienced software engineer with a proven track record in several facets of the information technology and services industry. My career has spanned end user support, network | database | systems administration, software development, project management, and for the past decade - accessibility. Even away from work I like to stay plugged in to technology - whether it\'s building a TJ Bot (Rasberry Pi + Watson services) or learning new development languages (currently dabbling in React.js & Vue.js for the web and Swift 4.0 for native iOS app development).
