ABOUT MARCIA CHONG ROSADO
Marcia Chong Rosado (she/her/ella) is a multiracial, Ecuadorian, immigrant to the United States. She is multidimensional and navigates cultures across continents, socioeconomic spaces, and industries. Marcia is a Director at Cinematica Labs, focused on building mission-oriented entrepreneurial ecosystems in partnership with Pharrell Williams’ Black Ambition and others. Marcia is a Coach with the National Science Foundation’s Convergence Accelerator program uplifting teams addressing national-scale societal challenges. She is also involved in civic engagement as a Commissioner on the Worcester County Commission on the Status of Women to advance women and girls toward full equity in all areas of life and is an Advisory Board Member for the Commonwealth Seminar, a privately funded program focused on “Opening the Doors of Government to Everyone”. Marcia has led community movements, podcasts, spaces, and conversations focused on Latine investment power and on uplifting BIPOC and diverse founders. Marcia formerly led Village Capital’s Future of Finance Practice and its accelerator programs for financial health focused startups in the U.S. She held earlier roles at Village Capital as an investment analyst uplifting edtech, food, and agtech founders. Marcia was an early employee of Third Sector. She helped scale Third Sector as a nonprofit and built first Social Impact Bonds in the U.S. through public-private partnerships with governments, nonprofits, foundations and financial institutions. Marcia’s work in venture ecosystem building, startups, nonprofits, and innovative partnerships has been noted by Amplify Latinx, HBCUvc 31 under 31, Boston Business Journal, Harvard Law & Policy Review, and Forbes.
