ABOUT MARCIA MORGENTHALER

Experienced clinical value analysis Registered Nurse with a rich and varied nursing background in a myriad of clinical areas. These areas include Operating Room (scrubbed, circulated, charge nurse, director), Recovery Room (PACU/manager), Orthopedic Ambulatory Surgery Center (manager), CCU, Emergency Room, cardiology office manager and general/surgical nursing. Served as Director of Surgical Services Service Line. Have been working in the field of Value Analysis for 15 years and am certified in that specialty. Worked as Clinical Value Analysis manager and director of large IDN. Non-labor clinical consultant for 4 years traveling throughout the Providence System (36 hospitals at the time) on the West Coast working with clinicians and medical staff on new products, improved processes, standardization and contract compliance. Large project was to create and implement a custom procedure pack process which resulted in significant cost savings for a large IDN in annual expense. This multi-million dollar project was complex with over individual line items affected at 36 facilities.
