ABOUT MARCIA FREDERICK

When I was just out of college, I had a job where I developed communications for a recently established regional cancer center. The opportunity to craft stories about the physicians, research and medicines that were changing the state of cancer care sparked a passion in me for healthcare communications that has lasted for more than 20 years.Along my career journey, I’ve led strategic communications for a rapidly growing specialty healthcare business inside of a Fortune 16 company and directed corporate communications at a global healthcare services business with more than $2 billion in annual revenue. Through these jobs and others, I’ve gained experience in communications strategy, media relations, thought leadership, brand management, social media and internal communication. I’ve served as a communications counselor to CEOs, Presidents and other executive leaders. I’ve also had the opportunity to develop and lead outstanding teams.Today, I work directly with several biotech and medtech companies that are bringing exciting new advances to the market – and I continue to be passionate about the ways that communications can support better healthcare for patients everywhere.
