In 2016 I decided to dive into the world of streaming on Twitch. Since then I have built up a strong, friendly, fun community of more than seven thousand followers. The Jaxboxchick Twitch community is comprised of gamers, parents, and people who find this positive, and slightly sarcastic, community a welcoming place to be. I stream at least four regular days a week with some bonus streams here and there. Charity streams are a big part of my channel as well. In 2019 I partnered up with GameStop for their Gaming for Good push to raise money for Autism awareness. In 2019 I hosted six Extra Life marathon streams, raising more than five thousand dollars for my local Children\'s Miracle Network Hospitals.Streaming for me is as much about community building and helping charities as it is about showcasing my love of video games. It\'s my happy place.When I\'m offline I\'m traveling to industry events to strengthen my relationships with people from my community as well as gaming companies. I manage the social media for The Mommy Gamers stream including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, as well as each of those social networks for my own personal account/brand. Twitch is my current streaming platform of choice. However, I have streamed on Mixer, DLive, Facebook Gaming, and YouTube to get a feel for every platform out there.
