I am Sustainable Procurement Partner at A.P. Moller Maersk, with over 17 years of experience in the logistics and transportation industry. I hold a Master Certificate in Advanced Procurement Management from Michigan State University and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Universidad Tecnológica Centroamericana.My core competencies include Procurement Management, organizational design, process improvement, internal customer satisfaction, strategic sourcing, and interpersonal and intercultural communication. I am passionate about driving Procurement excellence and innovation across the organization, and I am currently working on Sustainable Procurement Projects, most recently successfully completed a project to roll out new guidelines and policies for the dignified treatment of third-party labor, ensuring our company practices respect and uphold Human & Labor Rights of all. In my previous role, I led a team of 43 procurement professionals across North America and Latin America, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services, implementing a new ERP system, and co-owning the cost agenda and savings initiatives. I have a proven track record of delivering results and value for the business, while maintaining high ethical standards and social responsibility. I am known for being a compassionate leader of others, always striving to support the development of everyone on my team. I am also know for developing and molding new roles, roles previously non existent in my organization. I see myself as pioneer, an inquisitive learner.
