ABOUT MARCELO IGNACIO GORRINI
I’m a Panamanian engineering student at the University of British Columbia with hands-on experience in mechanical design, composite materials, and advanced testing methods. I\'ve led high-impact projects in electric mobility and clean tech, including designing carbon fiber structures for hydrogen fuel cell vehicles and developing experimental setups for material analysis above glass transition temperatures.Through roles with UBC’s ThunderBikes and Supermileage teams, I’ve applied CFD, FEA, and CNC manufacturing to real-world challenges. My academic foundation in manufacturing processes, and programming (Python, C/C++, Arduino) complements my practical skills in CAD (SolidWorks), materials testing (ASTM), and process optimization (Lean principles).I’m driven by a commitment to sustainability and innovation—whether in ship design, smart glass, robotics, or energy recovery systems. I thrive in collaborative environments where I can contribute to technical problem-solving, rapid prototyping, and product development.
