I began my career in Civil Engineering in Brazil, where precision is the currency of respect and arguments are tested through numbers, not sentiment.Over time, I found myself drawn toward the parts of cities that could not be resolved through calculation alone — the places where regulation, economics, memory, and everyday life intersect. That shift led me to Urban Studies and later to a Master of Environmental Design in Urban Planning at the University of Calgary.Early in that transition, I encountered the intellectual tension between Jane Jacobs and Robert Moses. What stayed with me was not the victory of one over the other, but the enduring friction between structure and empathy, order and lived experience. I have come to see that tension not as a debate to settle, but as a discipline to practice.Today, I work as an urban planner and strategic advisor at Green Space Alliance, operating within institutional contexts where policy, land economics, and long-term outcomes intersect.In parallel, I am creating an independent thinking and writing platform to explore how cities are shaped through systems, incentives, governance structures, and time. It will serve as a space to examine assumptions, clarify trade-offs, and reflect on how urban decisions accumulate into form.I am currently studying Urban Land Economics at UBC, continuing to deepen my understanding of how markets and regulation interact.I once wanted to be an architect. I loved drawing buildings.That didn’t happen.So I chose to help shape cities, knowing they are never designed by one hand.Engineer by training. Planner by discipline. Urbanist by conviction. Always evolving.
