ABOUT MARCELLO STANZIONE
Enthusiastic and motivated scientist with over 12 years of experience in Biotechnology. During my PhD at Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics I characterized new key regulators of DNA recombination during meiosis in mammals. During my Post Doc at MGH Cancer Center I worked with Patient Derived Xenograft models of Small Cell Lung Cancer (SCLC) and found an important mechanism of acquired resistance to DNA damaging therapies and novel potential strategies to overcome it. I am currently testing novel Immuno-oncology strategies to improve outcomes of SCLC patients. I have expertise in Molecular and Cellular Biology, DNA Damage, Oncology, Xenografts, Chemoresistance, Drug and Biomarkers characterization and Immuno-Oncology. Used to work in a fast-paced environment, able to run multiple projects at the same time and supervise research associates. Capable to interact with experts in other fields, establish crucial collaborations with excellent oral and written communication skills
