ABOUT MARCELL CEPHAS

From the beginning of my career as a Security Systems Administrator to my current role, I have learned many valuable skills. Working with experienced IT professionals in different customer bases throughout my career has given me insight into what the actual business IT world demands. When your first job out of college is performing IT functions for the U.S government, NASA at that, you tend to doubt yourself. Much like my current position, I was hired into a position which grew into room for growth advancement. I have extensive knowledge in security, networking, and troubleshooting aspects of my profession. Through signing on for different hardware/software deployment projects I have honed my abilities to include educating myself in standard deployment and IT project criteria. The ability to assess problems that may occur during daily in IT functions has become second nature. I intend to keep learning in my profession. Through this I hope to obtain my C.I.S.S.I.P. I have a passion for my career and understand the important role we as IT technicians play in maintaining, constructing and servicing network infrastructures. Infrastructures that provide both medical and business applications support. I also have excellent customer service skills and an ability to be that person who can put into perspective what IT support is providing to the everyday users and to different management levels without the IT lingo confusion. I have found that users are more responsive and appreciative of a tech who speaks in terms they find comfortable. This comfort level is what spawns positive relationships between IT and the everyday end user.
