ABOUT MARCEL G.

Here\'s the thing about design: it\'s never really \'done\'.\"Much like my portfolio (which I promise I\'ll stop tweaking. right after this one last adjustment), great design is an ongoing conversation between vision and execution. I\'m Marcel Griffith, a Senior Graphic Designer who\'s spent 8+ years turning complex ideas into visual stories that actually connect with people, whether that\'s 60+ million households tuning into national news broadcasts or 200+ students discovering their creative voice.By day, I\'m designing broadcast graphics and on-air elements for NewsNation Network, collaborating with producers to deliver compelling visuals under the kind of deadlines that make \"fast-paced\" feel like an understatement. I\'ve led initiatives that reduced production times while improving quality, because efficiency and excellence aren\'t mutually exclusive.By night (and weekends, and honestly whenever inspiration strikes), I take on creative challenges that push beyond the 9-to-5. As Creative Director for \"The Purple Block Party\", in very short time, I developed the complete brand identity for a large-scale cultural festival celebrating unity throughout Chicago. It\'s this kind of work that reminds me why I fell in love with design.I also teach, As a Business Digital Multimedia Professor, I\'ve mentored 200+ international students, achieving a 27% increase in satisfaction by making design education actually relevant. Teaching forces you to articulate why design works, not just that it works and that makes me a better designer.I\'ve driven 65-73% YoY traffic increases for PR clients, delivered Fortune 500 presentations with a 98% on-time rate, and streamlined workflows that keep teams moving without sacrificing creativity.Currently seeking: Opportunities where thoughtful design meets merges with impact.P.S- Yes, my portfolio is finally updated. For now.
