In the same way it takes a village to raise a child, it takes a team to plan for someone’s later years.As Consultant Relations Vice president at ICMA-RC, I partner with consultants to create retirement solutions for organizations. As a seasoned retirement plan veteran, I find it a joy to help consultants expand beyond corporate plans—all while growing their business.Nonprofit sponsors thrive on collaboration with multiple stakeholders. Building relationships and offering market intelligence is at the heart of my work with our consultants. This includes: listening to their challenges and offering tactical advice working with them on plan design and deployment strategizing on ways to enhance existing client relations and forge new ones educating them on the nuances of the nonprofit space—from cultural to regulatory issuesRemaining focused and invested in your team means staying sharp. Years ago, my son introduced me to the martial arts Hapkido and Tang So Do, and I\'ve been a student ever since. Not only has it been a great bonding activity, but it offers body awareness for life.
