Hired to automate, configure, provide maintenance and monitoring, and support of the overall Windows Server and virtualization infrastructure for the bank. Other responsibilities and accomplishments include but are not limited to- Team lead in creating scripts as required to automate operational tasks related to the banks infrastructure environment - Develop long-term strategies and capacity planning for future bank expansion - Develop business continuity and disaster recovery plans, maintain current knowledge of plan executables, and respond to crises in accordance with business continuity and disaster recovery plans- Construct, install, and test customized configurations based on various platforms and operating systems- Recommend, schedule and perform OS improvements, upgrades, and repairs- Support development and implementation of new server projects and new hardware installations- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hardware and equipment contracts and supervise contract-based installations- Provide guidance to junior members of the team as required- Provide guidance to business unit liaisons with application integration and deployment as it relates to the server infrastructure, availability and redundancy- Serve as cornerstone for escalated server issues; provide timely response to customer escalations.
