ABOUT MARCELA SOTO

I am currently developing a career as a Project Manager. In addition I have completed the Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma Green Belt and Project Management courses through ASME. I am certain to be an excellent Project Manager candidate due to my malleability, constant thirst for knowledge, and a desire to pursue further growth. Furthermore, in my past positions, I have consistently demonstrated my capacity to be proactive, goal-oriented, a valuable team player and a developing leader adept at maintaining excellent customer relationships and tracking of the scope, cost and schedules of my projects. Between my academic endeavors I fulfilled the roles of a Maintenance Supervisor at American Axle and Manufacturing (AAM), and a Process Engineer at Borg Warner Traction (BWT) where I played a key role in process mapping, producing control documents and participated in the Kaizen community for continuous improvement. Following, my roles in the automotive industry, I served as a Research Associate at Ryerson’s Space Avionics Lab during my masters, developing and testing software for high accuracy navigation sensors on board spacecraft. In my most recent role, I functioned as a Project Manager at Langen Group where I was involved in planning, implementing and managing projects from concept to delivery. This included analyzing and meeting project requirements and specifications while assessing project scope and solutions, identifying risk and growth opportunities of projects at an early stage and a keen handling of the budget. I was always enthusiastic to brief clients on the progress of deliverables, and to convey the financial status of projects to the PMO and CEO. Develop and present process documentation, and metrics to provide guidance to the project team. At the culmination of each project a post-mortem report was prepared to review lessons learned and implement and manage sustainable changes in future projects.
