Ultivue kits are used in research and in clinical trials to identify optimal cancer therapy by assessing the immune status of tumors. Our clients depend on consistent top-quality products, and I am responsible for quality control (QC). • Full-time, Remote, 4/2022-present; as 75% Time Contractor, Remote, 10/2021-3/2022 • Revenue-generating primary on-demand responsibility for QC review of tissue histology H&E, immunohistochemistry, and novel DNA-barcode-based multiplex immunofluorescence technology using digital pathology platforms. • Completed functional QC assessment through image inspection and quantitative analysis by applying criteria to determine pass/fail for kit release. Assessed >500 cases in 12 months that used >50 different markers, singly and in combination, for >6 different types of QC cases. • Developed manual assay for accurate image quantifications within constraints of work instructions and implemented assay, allowing data-based QC and longitudinal tracking of lot performance, contributing to risk mitigation. • Proposed two assay modifications using internal standards, with the potential to eliminate variability in sample staining, and increase precision in image analysis, resulting in a leaner process, which emerged from company-wide cross-functional collaborations.
