ABOUT MARCEL PEPLOW

I am a Bachelor of Commerce student at The University of British Columbia, pursuing a specialization in Business Analytics and Marketing. I leverage data-driven insights and my financial modelling skills in combination with creativity and perseverance to facilitate deals and ensure the best possible outcome for all clients and stakeholders involved.Currently, I am working as an Investment Banking Analyst at Szymon Zephan Capital Group, a mid-market boutique investment bank that focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate financial advisory, and capital raises. Previously, I was a Private Equity Intern at Calusa Capital, a search fund, and an Associate at Vancouver Propel Impact Fund, a micro venture capital fund that specializes in startups with a positive social and/or environmental impact.In my roles, I have gained valuable experience in conducting financial analysis, modelling, and due diligence from both a buy-side and sell-side perspective. I have also developed strong presentation and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team in intense environments with diverse stakeholders. I am motivated by the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals in the world of capital markets, contribute to interesting and impactful deals, and grow as a leader. I believe that I can bring a unique perspective and a diverse skill set to any organization that values innovation, collaboration, and creativity.
