ABOUT MARCEL JACKISCH

PLEASE ONLY CONNECT IF YOU WANT TO COLLABORATE, HAVE A MEANINGFUL CONVERSATION OR SEEK AN EXCHANGE OF KNOWLEDGE. NOT INTERESTED IN RANDOM RECRUITMENT OFFERS.During my childhood I became interested in computers and programming and co-founded a webdesign firm. After my bachelor\'s in mechanical engineering where I focused on fluid dynamics, I pursued a master\'s in renewables energies. In 2017 I became aware of blockchain applications for decentralized energy resources and took a deep dive that set my path in blockchain and crypto. My master\'s thesis revolved around a framework aiding the technical evaluation of blockchain use cases. After graduation I taught myself Solidity and started working in technical and developer positions in blockchain start-ups. Until mid 2021, I worked in various blockchain units at Deutsche Telekom and researched token economics, governance and Layer2 solutions for DeFi projects. In mid-2021 I have joined Toucan Protocol as a co-founder, where designed the architecture and built the smart contracts to tokenize carbon credits via Ethereum-compatible blockchains. In early 2023 I transitioned into an advisory role at Toucan and focus on freelance work for various DeFi and ReFi projects.
