Chief staff executive for the largest chiropractic association in Illinois answering directly to the Board of Directors and leading a diverse professional staff. Responsible for carrying out and implementing the direction, goals and policies established by the Board of Directors. Primary responsibilities include: • Advise the Board of Directors on opportunities and the feasibility of the corporate direction under consideration by the Board. • Direct association legal matters including chiropractic issues in Illinois. • Assist in the development and implementation of membership services including membership communications, and publications and information releases. • Cast vision to, coordinate with, and equip the ICS District organizations. • Direct the coordination of conventions, workshops, distance learning, and other forms of education. • Manage the election of officers and directors as provided for in the corporate constitution. • Maintain the organizational structure and overall operation of the ICS headquarters office which includes financial management, budget development and accountability, internal policy and procedure oversight, and employment practices. • Cooperate with other associations and individuals in the health care field. • Coordinate the dissemination of public relation communications to appropriate media. • Protect and preserve the scope of chiropractic physician practice by directing the ICS’ participation in the Illinois legislative and State agency rulemaking process. • Lead key stakeholders and board members through a process of continual personal and organizational leadership development.
