As the lead of the discovery team, I am responsible for identifying new targets and developing pre-clinical candidates for autoimmune disorders including but not limited to Atopic Dermatitis, Psoriasis and Inflammatory bowel diseases. To achieve this, I provide creative and innovative leadership of discovery biology to turn biological hypotheses into transformative medicines. I design and lead research projects by directing the creation of various in vitro assays and in vivo pre-clinical animal models, as well as pharmacology experiments to support program objectives. I spearhead the medium and high-throughput discovery engine by leveraging Montai\'s proprietary AI/ML platform to advance predicted natural small molecules into potential new therapeutic interventions. I work closely with chemistry, DMPK, CMC groups, and strategy teams in alignment with the leadership team to drive discovery and lead optimization and pre-clinical characterization of multiple candidates across discovery programs.
