About Marc Weigum
Most organizational change efforts fail not because the strategy was wrong, but because the human systems underneath it were never part of the design. I\'ve spent 20 years learning that the hard way, and the productive way, inside large, complex organizations. My career has taken me through significant transformation work at Microsoft, Starbucks, Twilio, and now Cumming Group, where I serve as Senior Director. Across industries and organizational contexts, the throughline has been the same: how do you actually move an institution? Not on paper, not in a deck but in the way people work, lead, and make sense of change together? That question eventually sent me back to the academy. I hold a doctorate in Organizational Change and Leadership from USC Rossier (2026), with research focused on corporate DEI & B initiatives. The doctoral work hasn\'t changed what I believe about transformation, it\'s sharpened why I believe it. It\'s given rigorous language to patterns I observed operationally for years, and it\'s connected me to a research community asking the same questions organizations are paying consultants to answer. What I do, and what I\'m increasingly focused on building toward, sits at the intersection of three things that rarely appear together in one person: executive practitioner experience, applied doctoral research, and original framework development. I\'ve built models like HEAL not because frameworks are what organizations need, but because they\'re how I think, and thinking clearly is where transformation actually starts.I\'m interested in conversations with people building organizations that take change seriously; whether that\'s a company navigating genuine transformation complexity, a university building out its scholar-practitioner faculty, or a mission-driven organization trying to make DEI & B something more than a program. If that describes where you are, I\'d welcome the connection. My dissertation, Navigating Faith and Inclusion: Evangelical Christianity\'s Impact on DEI & B Engagement, is approved and deposited in the USC Libraries and ProQuest.
