Senior Quantity Surveyor commercially managing the North Kyle Wind Farm project on behalf of the Main Contractor, Jones Bros. The Contract comprises of the design, procurement and installation of 49nr, new build, horizontal axis turbines, each up to a maximum tip height of 149.9m. The total installed capacity is over 220MW, with a grid connection capacity of 212MW and the minimal operational life cycle will be 30yrs from the date the Employer, Brockwell Energy, take over the works. Key elements of the project are- Access tracks- Ground Investigation- Ground Improvement- Whole project Design works- Design & construction of Control Building with LV supply- Crane hardstandings- Design & construction of WTG foundations- Substation compounds- Supply & installation of 33kV cables from turbines to Control Building- Design & installation of earthing systems from turbines to substation- Reinstatement & landscaping incl. peat management- Opening, operation & reinstatement of borrow pits- Temporary works including- Stone extraction- Concrete batching plant- Construction compounds & welfare facilities.
