Yes, safety always comes first, and there is so much more to being a quality engineer and the foundation is proper training.

   As part of a growing field service organization in the renewables industry, we have recognized that field engineers need to be onboard faster and have a higher level of skills day one. This is why we are committed to improving our training organization with more training, higher quality training, and never forgetting that safety is the most important part of the field service role. My contributions start with outlines of what training is necessary, putting together the training material, bringing in outside vendors to enhance the quality and experience, execution of training classes, and formal documentation so there is accountability in our systems.
