ABOUT MARC-OLIVER NANDY

EXPERIENCE ALONG THE INDUSTRIAL VALUE CHAIN IN R&D, PRODUCTION, SALES & MARKETING, SUPPLY CHAIN. INTERNATIONAL FOOTPRINT WITH LONGER ASSIGNMENTS IN JAPAN AND CHINA; SKILLS: DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION | CULTURAL TRANSFORMATION | CRISIS MANAGEMENT | SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT | QUALITY MANAGEMENT | AFTER SALES | CUSTOMER JOURNEYI am an internationally experienced senior executive with a broad insight into the value chain of an automotive luxury OEM. After majoring in Mechanical Engineering at The University of Stuttgart and The University of Tokyo, I entered Daimler AG via the International Management Associate Program. After 5 years in the Launch Factory and acting as the Project Leader of the launch factory projects for R-Class and GL-Class, I became the Executive Assistant of the Board Member for Research and Development, Dr. Tomas Weber, in 2005. In 2009, I moved to Japan and took over the Service & Parts business of Mercedes-Benz Japan as a Representative Director and Vice President. Besides the challenges of the Lehman Shock, I had to cope with the earth quake and Tsunami disaster in 2011 that had a strong and sudden impact on the business. After a short stopover in Germany in 2013/2014 and first steps into vehicle electronics, diagnostics and connectivity, I took the opportunity to become Executive Vice President at Beijing Mercedes-Benz Sales, Service (BMBS), leading the company’s 1 bn EUR revenue service & parts business as well as the digital customer experience initiative in this dynamic market. In order to address the challenge of Digital Transformation, I built up an agile multi swarm organization with lots of modern leadership elements. After my return to the headquarters in 2018 I took over Daimler AG’s biggest swarm organization, the Digital House, covering the Digital Transformation of Sales and Marketing, namely the global Web presence of the company, its online sales activities, and the Mercedes me Ecosystem. In June 2020, I was appointed director for the global supply chain of the Mercedes-Benz Van business with responsibility for program planning, inbound, outbound, and intra plant logistics for the plants in Düsseldorf, Ludwigsfelde, Vitoria, Buenos Aires, and Charleston. In 2024, I started as a Strategic Partner with SKV Invest, focusing on green tech scale ups and Zefyron, a networking platform for startups, investors, corporates, and the academic sector. After leaving Mercedes-Benz in 2025, I started a new assignment at Coperion GmbH as the head of Global Supply Management with focus on supplier sourcing and procurement.
