About Marc Manahan

I spent 20 fabulous years as a senior financial and operational executive at Univision Communications Inc.(“UCI”), the leading media company serving Hispanic America. During much of that time, I led the Univision Local Media (“ULM”) Division which had revenue of ~$1.5 billion and EBITDA of ~$0.8 billion. The operations included ~120 tv/radio stations in 20 markets with ~1,800 employees. What a privilege and honor it was to lead a great team of dedicated people that were focused on providing news, empowerment, sports, and entertainment to the Hispanic community.My career at UCI included significant leadership roles including CFO and COO for ULM, CFO of Univision Local Television Division, SVP Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis and VP Internal Audit. Prior to UCI, I was a Senior Manager at Arthur Andersen, a top 8 public accounting firm.What I enjoyed most in my last role at Univision was working collaboratively with ad sales, station management, content, digital, engineering, human resources and corporate finance to execute on the Division’s strategic and operational initiatives to drive successful operating and financial results. We outperformed the market and invested smartly in most of the good years and worked prudently to manage our costs in the tough years. I also participated in the launch of the UCI\'s finance department Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiative and participated in the first roundtable discussion. In 2013, my wife and I co-founded the Kate Ryan Foundation which is a charitable fund that supports DEI for young people, focusing on educational equality, food insecurity and meaningful physical & social interaction. As I start my next act, what is important to me is working with quality people in a company with a great culture and preferably for a business that has a mission rooted in helping those that need a “helping hand”.
