As the Community Engagement Director at We Got Us Non-Profit, I spearhead various initiatives aimed at supporting the homeless community in Boston. My role involves facilitating donations to ensure vital resources reach those in need. I develop and implement engaging programs to educate community members on essential Covid-19 safety protocols, fostering a safer environment for all. Additionally, I take the lead in organizing donation drives for winter clothing, particularly targeting recent migrants to provide them with necessary warmth during harsh weather conditions. Actively seeking avenues for sustainable support, I regularly apply for grants to establish a local food pantry dedicated to serving homeless individuals. Moreover, I conduct presentations to Harvard Medical School students, advocating for their involvement in community engagement efforts. Furthermore, I engage with Massachusetts lawmakers at the state House, advocating for policies and resources that benefit marginalized communities. Through these multifaceted endeavors, I am committed to making a meaningful impact and fostering a stronger, more inclusive community.
