Marc has both technical and project management roles in fluvial geomorphology, river restoration and flood risk management projects. He provides geomorphological / flood risk advice and delivered river restoration schemes for clients including environmental regulators, water companies, contractors, NGOs and overseas institutions. His work has included a) specialist geomorphological advice to inform the sustainable design of flood risk management schemes, infrastructure on the floodplain and hydraulic structures b) fluvial audits and assessments to provide a geomorphological context to the development of restoration/enhancement measures; and c) the design and construction supervision of river restoration schemes including in-channel works, channel realignments, fish easements and structure removals. Marc’s other roles have included a) catchment management schemes b) Agriculture, Forestry and Soils assessments and c) numerous statutory compliance assessments,(WFD, Flood Risk Assessment and Environmental Permits).
