Administer the Global Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) Process. Design and improve equipment effectiveness. Optimize equipment availability. Strive for the required reliability at the lowest cost without sacrificing safety or the environment. Establish maintenance practices that focus on the functional importance of a piece of equipment and its failure/repair history. Recognize design limitations and feedback the limitations to the designers. Improve/eliminate the operational and maintenance problems with any new generation of equipment/machinery. Improve operating performance (output, cost, quality). Strive to achieve greater maintenance cost-effectiveness. Lengthen life of expensive items. Develop a comprehensive maintenance plan. Enhance the understanding of how assets work. Plan continuous improvement jobs and projects. Come up with solutions to prevent reoccurring issues from happening again to better the reliability of the equipment. Collaborate with production and maintenance, as well as the feedback and feed forward of maintenance information into the selection, design, and planning of machinery, tools, and equipment. Collect data/feedback, such as from TIP and Maximo, from current equipment to support continuous improvement of equipment design. Administered Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for maintenance. Managed Preventive Maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance (PdM), and Corrective Maintenance (CM) performance. Apply the FMEA process at the machine level to determine failure modes of the machines. Engaged in cross-functional teams, including maintenance, operations, and engineering. Ensure new equipment can be easily maintained. Ensure production requirements are met. Purchase equipment with low, predictable failure rates. Lower life cycle costs to maintain competitiveness.
