ABOUT MARC GRIFFITHS

I am the Pro-Vice Chancellor for Regional Partnerships, Engagement and Innovation at the University of the West of England, Bristol. I am responsible for leading and developing the regional partnerships across all sectors, focusing on skills, education, enterprise, innovation and research opportunities. I also lead the Integrated Care Academy at the University of the West of England, Bristol.The Integrated Care Academy is primarily focused on establishing a transformative relationship with our health and social care partners and pioneering patient-centric care models, sustainable health practices, and workforce development strategies, setting benchmarks for national and international best practices. By breaking traditional boundaries, the ICA will serve as a living lab and centre of excellence, fostering collaboration among individuals, organizations, industries, and partnerships to innovate research, education, entrepreneurship, and technology transfer.I am a proud Principal Fellow within Advance HE, a Fellow of the Leadership Foundation in Higher Education and a Fellow of the College of Radiographers, which provides an enormous sense of pride and privilege to be in a position to support others through mentorship and coaching. I am a core member of the Vice Chancellor\'s Executive Team and the University\'s advocate and champion for neurodiversity across the organisation. Creating a growth mindset and transforming lives through education and scaffolded support are important values. In terms of external roles, I am the Vice-Chair of the Board of Governors at the City of Bristol College, an appointed Trustee at the Council of Deans of Health, a member of the Futures West Advisory Board and work closely with a number of partner organisations such as NHS England, Business West and Bristol City Council. I am also a Non-Executive Director at the Bristol NHS Group (formerly UHBW and NBT) and am a member of the Health and Wellbeing Board within the One City Board.The emergence of generative AI is also a particular interest and advocating responsible guidance for the use of AI across all sectors and creating positive outcomes within society is crucial. My research and knowledge exchange areas include exploring the development of hybrid practitioners within healthcare and education, Leadership redesign, EDI work, social and commercial innovation and service provision mapping.I am the co-founder of the Let\'s Talk Health and Care podcast series and have a passion for connecting with people and achieving brilliant things in everyday life.
