I am a CPA and CMA with over a decade of experience spanning public accounting and private industry. I began my career in public accounting as an auditor, where I developed a strong foundation in financial reporting, internal controls, and professional judgment. I later transitioned to private industry, serving in accounting and assistant controller roles, gaining firsthand experience with financial operations, budgeting, and organizational performance management. I currently serve as a Senior Tax Manager at McKonly & Asbury, advising clients on tax compliance, planning, and strategic decision making.I earned a Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) from West Virginia University. My research focuses on behavioral accounting, particularly how performance evaluation systems influence auditor judgment and audit quality. My broader interests include incentive structures in accounting firms, audit and tax quality, and accounting education.I am passionate about bridging academic research and professional practice. My goal is to translate theory into practical insight — improving decision making, strengthening professional standards, and preparing the next generation of accounting professionals.I remain actively engaged in both practice and research, and I am committed to contributing to the accounting profession through teaching, scholarship, and continued professional involvement.
