ABOUT MIGUEL ARAÚJO

My name is Miguel, I’m from Portugal, 27 years old, and in 2021 I’ve completed my Master’s Degree in \"Sound and Image\", with a specialization in \"Sound Design\", at Universidade Católica Portuguesa. My main focus area of work is sound, specifically in three main strands: sound design (cinema, publicity, videogames or any other visual product), musical composition (everything related to music production, recording, editing, sound mixing and mastering), and sound recording (wether it’s live sound on location or in studio). In between 2019 and 2020, I’ve completed a curricular internship through Universidade Católica Portuguesa at “Sketchpixel”, where I was able to solidify my knowledge and skills in digital sound design and music composition. In between 2021 and 2022, I’ve completed a professional internship at “Farol de Ideias”, where I was able to acquire lots of experience in the professional job market, and also consolidate solid skills of live sound recording and music production for commercials. I’m currently working as a full time music producer at “Prozis” since January 2023, and since then I’ve been making countless works in the publicity and advertising area through music production, composing and sound design for Prozis’s advertising and product videos, as well as other kind of music productions for some personal projects belonging to the company. In this artistic portfolio, I present some of my best work made ‘till today in the area of music production, sound design and sound recording, for advertising, cinema and videogames. With a passion for audiovisual excellence, I excel in the art of Electronic Music Production and Composing, Sound Branding, Recording Vocals and Live Instruments, and Mixing and Mastering for any Digital Platform or TV, bringing unique and innovative sound design techniques, original soundtracks, and a keen understanding of industry trends and emerging technologies to stay ahead of the curve in audiovisual production, ensuring that projects are both innovative and relevant. I have advanced knowledge, skills, and know how to work dynamically with softwares like Logic Pro X and Pro Tools.
