Coordinated the dissemination of findings from a mixed-methods Learning Assessment (funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation) that identified 13 strategies for increasing diversity in academic health sciences. Created meeting agendas for internal team meetings and meetings with an RWJF program officer. Conducted literature reviews for grants; contributed to the drafting of grants and grant progress reports; prepared IRB submission; and tracked progress on grant deliverables. Prepared and submitted publications generated from the project to academic journals. Managed the publication of a Robert Wood Johnson-funded Special Issue for the Health Services Research journal, titled “Social Care and the U.S. Health Care Sector.” Collaborated with six editors to identify and invite reviewers for submitted manuscripts and finalize decisions on each submitted manuscript. Inputted decisions on each manuscript into the journal portal and tracked the status of each manuscript to guide to completion. Drafted detailed summaries of all accepted manuscripts to create the foundation for an editor-led commentary. Conducted literature reviews and contributed to the drafting of grants and grant progress reports for multiple NIH- and privately-funded projects. These include a randomized controlled trial of a mental health intervention for diverse older adults; a randomized controlled trial of a disability prevention intervention for diverse older adults; a randomized controlled trial of a four-pronged community health worker-led intervention to reduce disparities in obesity, cervical and colorectal cancer screenings, and mental health; and a longitudinal study examining associations between discrimination-related stressors and mental health outcomes among Mexican-origin youth. Trained five undergraduate research assistants in also conducting literature reviews. Managed, tracked, and tailored papers generated from these projects for submission to scientific journals.
