About Mara Mershon
My name is Mara Mershon, and I’m a fourth-year Journalism and Musical Theatre student at the University of Georgia. I am passionate about all things creative, including writing, digital design, art, and music. My aspiration is to build a successful career in media and creativity, whether in reporting, writing, design, marketing, or performing. With strong leadership and interpersonal skills, I excel at public speaking and problem-solving.At UGA, I am the Director of Marketing and Engagement in DiGamma Kappa, the Broadcast Society at Grady College of Journalism. I am actively engaged in theatre, particularly with the musical theatre student organization NextAct, where I previously served as Associate Artistic Director. I am a member of Shop With a Bulldog (SWAB), where we annually fundraise to take underprivileged Athens area students holiday shopping and am an active participant in Jewish student organizations, including Chabad and Hillel.
