About Mara Denisa B.
My name is Mara Beteagu, and I am currently enrolled in the Dual BA program between Sciences Po Paris and Columbia University. I am a Politics & Government major with minors in International Relations and Middle Eastern Studies and a strong interest in law. For the second half of my degree, I joined the Sociology department at Columbia.I have developed robust skills in research, analysis, and writing through various experiences. Notably, I conducted on-the-ground research in Cyprus with the Babel Initiative. During the summer of 2024, I further applied my skills in the fields of human rights and international law during my internship at the Amman Center for Human Rights Studies. Last summer, I returned to Amman with a fellowship to improve my Arabic, while remotely tutoring underprivileged students for their Romanian Baccalaureate Diploma.I am seeking analyst or paralegal opportunities in the legal field and am also open to legal research and policy-focused roles within think tanks, NGOs, and international organizations.
