ABOUT MANZOOR QURESHI

Junior Civil Engineer (EIT)/Project Coordinator with hands-on experience supporting geotechnical investigations, construction coordination, and multidisciplinary civil engineering activities across building and infrastructure projects. My background spans field-based soil and foundation work, construction management support, municipal servicing exposure, and early-stage project coordination, where safety, technical accuracy, and documentation discipline are essential.I have worked closely with geotechnical engineers, site supervisors, contractors, and consultants to support borehole investigations, soil and material observations, foundation works, and QA/QC activities. My experience includes borehole logging support, soil classification, groundwater observation, compaction and concrete inspection, and coordination of laboratory testing, while ensuring work aligns with drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.In addition to geotechnical and structural exposure, I have supported civil works related to water and wastewater infrastructure encountered during construction and land development projects. This includes site coordination around underground services, stormwater drainage, grading and drainage control, erosion and sediment measures, and interface between earthworks, utilities, and foundations. I am comfortable working around active water, sewer, and storm systems from a construction and inspection perspective.Beyond field engineering, I have supported construction management and project coordination tasks including site inspections, progress tracking, contractor coordination, documentation control, and communication between design and field teams. I regularly assist with drawing reviews, flagging site deviations, supporting inspections, and helping resolve constructability and sequencing issues in active construction environments.I hold a Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. I am seeking Engineer in Training or junior roles where I can continue developing across geotechnical engineering, water infrastructure, and construction-focused civil projects within a consulting or contractor environment.
