ABOUT MANVINDER KINGRA

I was recently offered the opportunity to pursue an MSc in Environmental Engineering at the University of Strathclyde. My professional journey has been rooted in civil and structural engineering, where I previously worked as a Civil Structural Engineer at the Testing and Consultancy Cell of Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College (GNDEC), Ludhiana. I also held the position of Assistant Professor in the Civil Engineering Department at GNDEC.Alongside my professional career, I’ve been actively developing key software skills such as Python and BIM, which I believe will be increasingly relevant in the future. Teaching is a passion of mine, and I have had the pleasure of guiding postgraduate students through subjects like Research Methodology and IPR, Basic Retrofitting and Rehabilitation of Structures, and Disaster Management. Additionally, I’ve taught undergraduate students in areas such as Structural Analysis, Estimation, Costing, and Environmental Impact Assessment.I have continuously supported students during summer training, helping them acquire essential skills in Microsoft Office, Revit, AutoCAD, FreeCAD, Staad Pro, SAP and BIM—tools that are crucial for their future careers.Outside of academia, I am deeply committed to community service, particularly in supporting animal welfare. Volunteering and fundraising for non-profit organizations is a cause close to my heart, and I strive to dedicate my time to giving back.
