Continued in the same role through multiple company transitions — originally hired by Argos (2013), followed by the acquisition of Argos USA by Summit Materials (2023), and later by Quikrete (2024). Throughout these transitions, I have maintained and expanded my role as a key contributor to process optimization and operational excellence.As a Process Optimization Engineer, I lead initiatives focused on improving plant performance, stability, and cost efficiency through data-driven decision-making and advanced control strategies.I monitor and analyze daily plant operations, translating process data into actionable insights to support production teams and drive continuous improvement. My work includes conducting detailed process audits, flow measurements, and mass & heat balance evaluations to identify optimization opportunities and ensure consistent product quality.I actively contribute to reducing variable costs by optimizing equipment operation, improving process efficiency, and supporting the evaluation and implementation of new technologies, materials, and operational strategies. I also collaborate in the development of plant performance plans and ensure follow-up on implemented actions to sustain long-term improvements.A key focus of my role is leveraging advanced process control and digital tools to enhance plant performance. I have led the implementation and optimization of FLSmidth’s Process Expert (PXP) system, significantly improving process stability, throughput, and energy efficiency. I am also recognized for expertise in PID loop tuning, ensuring robust and reliable control performance across critical process areas.More recently, I have expanded my scope into digital transformation by integrating data analytics and AI-based approaches to further optimize industrial processes and enable smarter, more predictive operations.

I currently utilize Artificial Intelligence to deploy projects in the cement industry, leveraging my background as a process engineer to implement new technologies that optimize and modernize various processes. My goal is to continue sharing my experience and developing new technologies in the service industry. Since the beginning of my engineering career, I have been a strong advocate for technology-driven transformations and interdisciplinary applied sciences in industrial processes. I first pursued this perspective during my Master\'s studies in Food and Technology, and later as a production engineer in the complex field of cement plants, where there is always room to propose and implement new alternatives for process optimization and plant capacity enhancement.My field experience and successful implementation of technology-based projects led me to become the process lead of excellence and provide technical support to regional operations in accordance with production optimization plans. With access to Artificial Intelligence tools, I am currently focusing on deploying projects across the entire cement industry, including various parts of the flow process.
