A talented designer, futurist, coach, and leader Manuhuia has helped clients such as the Australian Federal government; Transparency International; and URS Corporation become more innovative, strategic, and sustainable through a blend of strategic analysis and the optimization of operational performance – with a focus on complex change initiatives, new product/service design & deployment, and digital-analog transformations. He complements these more technical skills with deep expertise in systemic human-centered capacity building within organizations.With 20 years experience working on design, strategy, and innovation issues and experience working in 20+ countries Manuhuia has provided advice on innovation and broader strategic design, implementation and foresight issues to some of the world\'s largest and most powerful organizations including the United Nations and the World Bank.Specific examples of this work include:• Delivering strategic advice to the United Nations Development Program on how to support the improvement and development of capacity building initiatives for CSOs (across a range of technological and human systems) across all 14 independent Pacific Island countries• Working with a classic Australasian consumer business to rethink their retail service experience in an increasingly mixed digital/analog environment in order to better align their strategic re-design and structural re-organization with their brand refresh Manuhuia challenges and energizes teams to enable them to engage in ‘big picture’ thinking through multi-modal design work. A natural connector, Manuhuia spans cultural, ethnic, religious and national boundaries to bring fresh perspectives to how design and design insights can be used to bring organizations, technology, and people together to create new value.
