ABOUT MANUELE NOVELLO
I hold a PhD in neuroscience, which I obtained at the Erasmus MC, Rotterdam, where I worked on cerebellar connectivity in Chris De Zeeuw\'s lab. During my postdoc at the University of Oslo - Akershus University Hospital in Evandro Fei Fang\'s lab, I focused on Alzheimer\'s disease and NAD+ modulators. During my second postdoctoral position at the European Brain Research Institute (EBRI), founded by Nobel Prize winner Rita Levi-Montalcini in Rome, I developed a mathematical model of amyloid-beta spread. I have experience in neuroanatomical, electrophysiological, and molecular biology techniques, and have worked with mouse and C. elegans models. I have also contributed to publications and presented my work at international conferences. I taught at a middle school as a math and science teacher for adults in Italy.Currently, I teach anatomy, hygiene and gnathology to high school classes specialising in dental technician and health and social care.
