ABOUT MANUEL GUIZAR

My passion for the Food and Beverage industry was ignited after landing my first job as a bus person working for the Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group in Las Vegas. The training and education program in place allowed me to grow with the company and inspired my passion for helping others improve through training. I have been fortunate to assist with restaurant openings, both major Strip and local locations, by implementing systems, training and leading teams, and creating continued education programs that not only strengthened the team, but increased sales through product knowledge, sales techniques, and 5 Star/5 Diamond levels of hospitality. During my time as a Beverage Manager, I was able to increase the bottom line, decrease COGS, and increase sales by implementing contests, staff trainings, and creative scheduling. This position taught me a lot about beverage systems, how they work, and how to identify and fix any issues that may arise. Before starting my management career, I was able to hold many FOH positions from Bus person, to Captain, and Trainer. My experiences allowed me to be an effective Restaurant Manager, Beverage Manager, and Training Manager by understanding the needs of our team to create a “team first” culture resulting in team retention, increased morale, and natural hospitality. I am a hard working and driven professional who believes one can always improve. The passion and knowledge I have obtained through my Food & Beverage career has allowed me to help others grow professionally and personally whilst allowing myself to be able to gain new knowledge everyday and strengthen my passion in the industry.
