ABOUT MANUEL GATTINGER
I am a designer with over 20 years of experience creating digital and physical products / services that make a difference-I have worked in corporate design teams and international design consultancies in Vienna, New York, London and Shenzhen. I am now based in Munich. I have been the Industrial Design Lead for one of Nokia\'s first full-touch phones (rather long ago), designed the most successful portable speaker family (a couple of years ago) and the first AI Cobot at scale (not so long ago). My current position is Head of Design at Star.I have a proven track record in successfully establishing high-performance multidisciplinary design teams and helping to build entire design studios. Trust and finding purpose in accountability are important to me. I strive to develop a fluency with team members that allows us to effectively reconfigure, adapt and deliver in complex environments. The combination of dense connectivity (trust) and the understanding of the situation and commitment to outcome (purpose) makes them resilient and allows the teams I work with to tackle more complex problems than traditional hierarchical teams-
