Former Chair of the Business Law Section of the Florida Bar; partner of Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP where he represents businesses and individuals in complex real estate, business, and appellate matters with an emphasis on commercial litigation, real estate litigation and transactions, creditor’s rights, bankruptcy, and ADR. Previously served as outside general counsel for financial institutions and represented government entities including the FDIC and RTC. Board certified by The Florida Bar in three areas (Business Litigation, Real Estate, and Appellate Law), and listed in Chambers and Partners, Lawdragon 500, The Best Lawyers in America, U.S. News Best Lawyers, Florida Trend’s Legal Elite (including its “Hall of Fame”), and Florida Super Lawyers (including its “Top 100 Lawyers”). Elected member of the Florida Bar Board of Governors, the Board of Governors of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers, and of the American Law Institute. Author of \"Florida Real Estate Law\"- the real estate treatise in West’s Florida Practice Series – publisher of the weekly Case Law Update summarizing Florida and Federal real estate and business cases, and author of numerous other articles and book chapters. Recognized by his peers for several awards including Board Certified Lawyer of the Year by The Florida Bar, Member of the Year by the Florida Bar Business Law Section, the Judge Edward Rodgers Diversity Award and Sidney Stubbs Professionalism Awards by the Palm Beach County Bar Association, and the Legal Aid Society Pro Bono Award.
