ABOUT MANRAJ THIND
I am a detail-oriented, innovative Professional Engineer with several years of professional experience in successfully managing projects from initiation to planning, execution, and closure, including the corporate-wide transition from an analog to digital software system. I have experience liaising with key stakeholders to construct product roadmaps, develop implementation strategies, and create a cohesive training manual and program. I am an excellent communicator with strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, which has fostered the creation of a positive working environment focused on teamwork, employee motivation, and achieving team goals. By maintaining regular communication with senior executives such as the CEO, COO, and GMs, I have developed a trusting working relationship with these key stakeholders and I am responsible for delivering timely project updates and data to help drive accurate business decisions. As a strong leader, I have experience overseeing multi-disciplinary project teams, which involves delegating and monitoring tasks and I also manage a team of full-time, permanent employees and co-op students, which includes hiring, training, coaching, mentoring, and performance management.I am currently pursuing my part-time MBA at Simon Fraser University (SFU) with a completion date of December 2020. The MBA journey has enhanced my business acumen and expanded my knowledge of financial analysis, project management, operations management, and will compliment my technical and analytical engineering expertise. As President of the Graduate Business Student Association, I lead a team of 10, coordinate with my team to determine the mandate and vision of GBSA and ensure this is upheld in all student activities we organize and promote, and act as a liaison between graduate business students and SFU faculty and staff to enhance communication among key stakeholders.
