ABOUT MANOS GIORGAKIS
Emmanouil (Manos) Giorgakis is a multi-organ transplant and HPB surgeon dedicated to optimizing graft utilization and outcomes, advancing clinical research, and expanding global access to transplantation. His expertise focuses on DCD liver transplantation, machine perfusion technologies, and transplant oncology, where he has led or contributed to major international studies and multicenter protocols across the United States and Europe. Recognized among the National Top 2–3% Healthcare Research All-Stars by Avantgarde Health (2024), Dr. Giorgakis has authored numerous publications in high-impact journals, building transatlantic collaborations that bridge innovation and practice across continents. He serves the international transplant community as a Board Examiner for the European Board of Surgeons (Transplant), ESOT Global Transplant Ambassador and Vanguard Committee member, and ILTS Global Mentor, actively contributing to education, policy, and excellence in transplant care worldwide.Besides medicine, Dr. Giorgakis is a lifelong student of classical antiquity.
