A technologist with 20 years of experience in technology and solutions development, team building, scientific research, and management within the domains of Digital Solutions and Imaging Systems. Current Role: Lead Solutions Manager for the Asia Pacific region and globally for electronics and semiconductor customers with the global Solutions Lab at Carl Zeiss, Research Microscopy Solutions, Munich, Germany. In this role, I am responsible for creating and executing strategies, developing resources and competencies, and designing solutions that promote digital innovations and allied services. A significant aspect of my work involves engaging in the development of automated microscopy solutions for semiconductor customers. Additionally, I focus on building a team dedicated to developing image analysis solutions, automation for microscopy, machine vision, and adaptive feedback imaging. Previous Role: Several years of experience as Facility-In-Charge and head of R&D at the largest Light Microscopy Core Facility in India (NCBS, Bangalore). I played a key role in establishing this facility, which included developing manpower, creating training programs, procuring and installing equipment, and setting up usage, maintenance, and training protocols, as well as establishing the R&D Centre. Education: Bachelor\'s and Master\'s degrees in Electronics and Photonics, followed by a Ph.D. in Bio-photonics from ICFO, Barcelona. My pre-doctoral and post-doctoral research focused on the design, assembly, and automation of multiphoton microscopes and tools for femtosecond laser-induced nano-surgery, as well as investigating optical signaling in biological samples. Expertise: Systems automation, image analysis, machine learning, confocal imaging, multiphoton microscopy, super-resolution imaging, optical engineering, and image processing. Proficient in computer programming languages including Matlab, Python, LabView, and VHDL.
